Fire protection
The fire protection in the company includes fire protection planning, implementation of planned projects, assessment of the remaining fire risk, prescription and implementation of the necessary measures and supervision of their implementation through the following activities:
- Formation of a fire protection service for facilities categorized in the first or second category of fire hazard.
- Training of workers according to the Rulebook on the program and method of training the population for the implementation of preventive fire protection measures, fire extinguishing and rescuing people and property threatened by fire.
- Training for handling flammable liquids and gases.
Creation of documentation:
- fire hazard assessments,
- fire protection plans,
- internal general acts
- plans for fire protection measures (for the third and fourth categories of fire hazard)
Fire Hazard Analysis (FHA)
The recommendation for preparing FHA is for the following facilities:
- where quantities/limits of stored dangerous goods handled will be subject to the applicable law based on Directive 2012/18/EU (higher class)
- where the number of hazardous substances handled/stored will exceed the limits for a higher class in accordance with the applicable law
- for buildings where it is estimated that the maximum fire loss could amount to USD 10 million or more.
The purpose of creating a fire risk analysis is that the fire protection system is based on the actual analysis of fire hazards and consequences, and that the elements of the proposed or existing fire protection system are harmonized with the fire hazard analysis (by determining the potential fire hazards of facilities and/or activities and assessment of the possible consequences of probable incidents / fire scenarios).
